(BILLETING) BREAKFAST/LAUNDRY ATTENDANT NA-02 (AMENDED)

Responsible for the preparation and serving of breakfast during established breakfast hours, and cleans linen items for remainder of shift. Performs tasks with several steps or sequences of task such as:
sets up breakfast food service counters, dining room tables and side service stands with hot and cold food, including pancakes, pre-cooked meats, ready-to-eat breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cereal and yogurts. Replenishes breakfast items as needed to include the coffee and juice area. Restores the breakfast room to orderliness. Sorts soiled laundry items by type, color, fabric etc. in preparation to launder. Pre-treats laundry as necessary to remove embedded soil or stains. Places soiled laundry into available washers, removes clean laundry from washers, shakes out tangles, and places damp laundry into dryers. Removes laundry from dryers, folding rough-dry items (i.e., bedspreads, towels, etc.).Folds finished items and places items into stacks of prescribed numbers and types. Post-sorts laundry and removes damaged items. Stacks and stores linens or proper shelves. Cleans lint traps on dryers and reports all damage or problems with washer and dryers to Supervisor. Uses sound judgement to determine what laundry items need to be re-washed, replaced, mended, etc.Responsible for preparing request of the food items/supplies needing to be replenished on both the breakfast items and laundry supplies sufficiently in advance to ensure adequate stock is always on hand. Keeps work areas clean, sanitized and otherwise free of debris and unsafe conditions.Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assist guest and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges guest, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.Performs others related duties as required. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Skill to perform task with several steps and use judgement in the performance of sequential tasks. Concentration is required when prepping the food using objects which require heat to avoid under or over-heating the food being served. Simple arithmetic and the ability to read instructions as required. Working knowledge of common sanitation to procedures to prevent contamination.Must be able to read and follow directions on labels affixed to chemicals, detergents and Material Safety Data Sheets. Must be able to work independently. Knowledge of operating a calculator to do simple mathematical computations.Responsibility:
Work is scheduled knowing what steps or sequences of steps are needed to complete the work. Follow specific oral or written instructions when changes or new assignments are made, but use some judgement in deciding the standards of sanitation, attractiveness, timeliness, safety and service are met. The supervisor periodically checks to see that work is done on time and according to instructions.Physical Effort:
Continuous standing, stooping, bending and walking. Constant movement of arms and hands. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects of 45 lbs. with assistance.Working Conditions:
Work areas are often uncomfortably warm and noisy. Workers are exposed to the possibility of bruises from carts or machinery. There is danger of slipping on wet floors. Are required to wear protective gloves and hairnets when cooking and serving food. A valid California driver's license is required in the event that travel is necessary. Ability to read, understand and implement oral and written instructions. Ability to meet and communicate with the public. Neat appearance and pleasant personality preferred. Basic and professional phone skills required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
